In order for you to have the best results all of our technicians undergo several years of academic training in addition to several more years vocational training.

The St Albans Dental Laboratory Team: 
 
Patrick Wilks L.B.I.D.S.T, L.C.G.I, R.D.T - over 30 years experience: 
I am the founder of St Albans Dental Laboratory who, trained at Weybridge Dental College. I passed intermediate City & Guilds with distinctions, and was awarded C&G bronze medal, gthe first winner for 5 years and I also passed final C&G with distinctions, awarded the silver medal, the first winner for 15 years and passed advanced C&G. Also being twice winner of the Aspen award just prior to starting my own laboratory in 1986, after being responsible two other labs for many years. I was on the Dental Advisory Board for Weybridge College for 3 years prior to its closure. I am now on the Advisory Board of the Dental Technician Magazine together with the Dental Laboratories opinion panel. I am also a member of the British Institute of Dental and Surgical Technologists and recently obtained my Licentiate of the City and Guild Institute. 
 
Roy Sockett RDT- over 20 years experience: 
I started my training in 1983 at the D&M Dental Laboratory where I learned all aspects of dental technology. The lab then became M.C. Thornhill Creamics where I worked for the next twenty years as a gold technician. In 2004 when the owner retired, I took over the business and ran it for the next four years. In 2008 I decided to sell the business to Patrick Wilks, the owner of St Albans Dental Laboratory. I now work for Patrick as a gold technician also constructing composite restorations. 
Keith Couch RDT- over 39 years experience: 
I began my apprenticeship in 1971 with Regent Dental Lab in Hemel Hempstead covering all aspects of dentistry, including model making. My skills developed rapidly into chrome work, dentures, gold work and ceramics. After five years of training I finally settled on specialising in ceramics (crown and bridge work). In 1976 I started work with Mike Sherring-Lucas, firstly at his lab in St Albans, then Hemel Hempstead spending ten years with him whilst completing a number of ceramic courses and qualifications and techniques changed. I joind Patrick at St Albans Dental Laboratory in 1986 as a crown and bridge work specialist. 
 
Linda Brandham RDT - over 30 years experience: 
My extensive training began at the Sherring-Lucas Lab in St Albans having achieved final examination accreditation with City & Guilds. To date a registered technician with extensive experience developed across a 30 year career as a dental technician.
